Grandmaster Soke Herschel Schenck has more than 45 years progressive experience in the field of Martial Arts having taught 17,000 students, managed 38 martial arts schools in five states, produced more than 250 national champions and 20 world champions. Awarded first place in kata at Mid-Ohio championships in February 1990, wrote and published “Awase Kenpo Karate-Do Kyohan” (master’s text), copyright 1991 and licensed as a martial arts chaplain in August 1996. Karate and self-defense instructor at Wayne College, College of Wooster and Ohio Agricultural & Technical Institute (branch of Ohio State University) for 13 years. Conducted numerous rape prevention seminars and presented evangelistic “Sidekicks for Christ” program at numerous churches and for civic groups.
